Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Penang

17.02.2011 @ Pinang Peranakan Mansion. take a taxi on a hot & sunny day to Pinang Peranakan Mansion, entrance fee rm10 per person.

From the outside, it looks just like the rest of the heritage building that has tastefully restored and painted in green. but once entering the main hall, it changes the whole dimension. the whole building inside was so beautifying, the architecture, design, simple eye catching. The main hall is beautifully decorated with fresh pots of flowers and chinese red lantens, chinese craved wood in gold from living room to dinning room door to door, i can't wait to go closer and feel them, from the ground floor to the upper floor. From every wood craved was so delicate and fine. Thousand pieces of antiques, love the the crystals collection, they all expensively place in a special room and 2ndly the authentic and vintage look chinaware, all beautifully placed in the shelvings. not to forget the furnitures, oriental solid black or rose wood with mother of pearl design, how much i love them all, this house whole cost a million dollars, this is the evident of a rich Baba a century ago.

This place is truely not just a baba-nyonya museum, but it catches everyone's heart, and its a historical educational for all to observe and see how this place is preserved with their many customs, traditions and dedication to show everyone's and the world as this not only mark as a unique survived old house to the country but to continuously preserved other heritage buildings as well in Penang and keep this place alive as a sample to Penang generation to be proud with their heritage and it does exist not only can they see or read from the book, postcard or photographs but its real.
